How buying works
What actually happens when you buy, who takes the money, and what you can do if you change your mind.
Payment & licence
SSL · VATFiles and key by e-mail
{{live:Both arrive as soon as the payment clears — usually a minute or two.}}{{pending:Nothing can be paid for here yet. An order arranged by e-mail arrives once we have confirmed it, within one working day.}}
Card details never come here
{{live:Payment happens on {{provider}}'s own page. Nothing about a card is entered on, or stored by, this site.}}{{pending:There is no card checkout open yet, so nothing about a card is entered here — or anywhere else on our behalf. See below.}}
VAT and the invoice
Prices include VAT, and the price shown is what you pay. {{Provider}} is merchant of record: they account for the VAT at your own country's rate within that price and issue the invoice under their registration.
What you can actually pay with
On a template, at {{provider}}'s checkout. Prices are set in EUR.
Payment is taken by {{provider:legal}}, acting as merchant of
record. That is not a payment button with a logo on it: the payment contract is concluded
with them, they charge and remit the VAT for wherever you are, and the receipt or invoice
carries their name. DATUM makes the products, licenses them to you and supports them — who
DATUM is in the legal sense is on the company details page.
Nothing is ever charged to you automatically without a subscription you have agreed to.
{{pending:
The shop is not open yet: nothing can be paid for here, by any means.}}
Changed your mind, or something is wrong with a file? Both are covered, and they are different rights: refunds and withdrawal. Who you are buying from: company details.
Questions about buying
From the FAQYou cannot yet — the shop is not open. Every Buy button says so and offers to let you know when it opens.
Nothing can be bought yet. When the shop opens, from Stripe, through Stripe Managed Payments as merchant of record: the payment contract is with them, they charge and remit the VAT, and the receipt or invoice carries their name. Who DATUM is, in the legal sense, is on the company details page — that part is not delegated to anybody.
There is nothing to pay for here yet.
Prices on the site include VAT, and the figure shown is the one you pay — in every EU country, not only in Bulgaria. Nothing can be bought yet. If you would rather read prices net, there is a VAT switch next to the currency; the net figure is an estimate at the Bulgarian 20%.
Yes, subject to one exception that matters for downloads. You have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase without giving a reason — but for digital content delivered immediately, that right is lost once delivery starts with your express agreement and your acknowledgement that you are giving it up. You are asked for both at checkout, in those words. If you have not downloaded yet, the 14 days are untouched. The refunds page sets out both routes, and how we handle a file that turns out to be faulty, which is a separate right and is not lost by downloading.
Simpler, because there is nothing to give back. Cancel it — from your account page, or by writing to us, whichever you prefer — and that is the end of it. The tools keep working until the period you have already paid for runs out, and then they stop. We do not take another payment after you cancel, there is no notice period, no cancellation fee, and nobody will ask you why. If you cancel an hour after paying for a month, you still have that month.
One installer for all of them: run it and a DATUM tab appears on the Revit ribbon, with every tool on it. What your licence key unlocks decides which ones do anything — the rest say what they are and where to get them. It carries a separate build for Revit 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027, and puts the right one into every Revit it finds on the machine.
One at a time. A licence activates on a single machine, and a second one is refused rather than quietly allowed — we would rather you found that out here than at your desk. Moving to another computer is not a purchase: free the seat from your account page, or write to us, and activate the new machine. If you genuinely need two at once — a desktop and a site laptop — tell us before you buy and we will price it, rather than sell you a licence that will stop you.
Monthly, and all together. Six of the twenty-two tools are free and stay free. The others are not sold one by one: they come together on one subscription, €55 a month instead of €70, or €50 a month paid a year at a time. You are always on the newest version, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Plugins are not sold outright; templates still are. One caveat: none of it can be bought yet. The shop is not open, and nothing is charged until there is a subscription for you to agree to.
